Yellow Stringybark

WA Yellow Stringybark grows in the South West of Western Australia.

As this species is a fast grower and is resistant to termite attack, is was primarily grown for power poles. As power went under ground, the need for these trees decreased.

Yellow Stringybark has a tall, straight trunk, making it perfect for flooring. It does have a slight grain through it, and can have a few dark veins making a nice feature on your floor. This timber is quite comparable to Eastern States Blackbutt.

Colour ranges from browny yellows to dark blondes. The colour of Yellow Stringybark is consistent.
