• Install blinds or tint windows in areas that receive direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can shrink and discolour your floor. Window coverings will prevent this from happening
  • With indoor pets, keep their nails trimmed so they don't scratch your floor
  • Sweep your floor daily to avoid sand and dirt scratching the floor when walked on
  • Avoid wearing stilettos on your timber floor
  • Never flood the floor with water
  • Use a non-chemical floor cleaner to mop your floors. Harsh chemicals in some cleaners actually strip the coating from tiles and timber flooring
  • Every two years, or as needed, rebuff your timber floor and apply a maintenance product. We can do that for you or you can DIY. It reduces scratches and restores the 'new' finish to your floor. It can be applied and dry in two hours.
  • If you need to lock your house up for an extended period of time, lock open a few windows, and place a bucket of water in the sink. This will put much needed moisture back into the air
  • If you have a fire place going during winter, boil a pot of water on the top (or better yet, a pot of soup). Again, this will put much needed moisture back into the air
  • Enjoy your new floor. You have made the right choice.
